Condition
Overall the condition of the terracottas is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The surface slip may conceal some condition points. There are a few very minor firing cracks, consistent with the material, including to Beethoven's hair on the proper right side. There is a possible minor abrasion to the tip of Beethoven's nose.
There is wear to the ebonised wood socles, in particular that of Mozart.
