Condition

Overall in good condition. This modular system of side cabinets is composed of three platforms and seven cabinet, all of which interchangeable for design variation. The cabinets rest on the platforms and are not physically secured to them. The carcass and veneers overall present with minor surface scratches, nicks and some minor abrasions mostly to top of cabinets, legs and front edge of platforms consistent with age and gentle use. The wider chest of drawers with the bottom drawer of slightly darker hue and visible in the catalogue illustration. The same cabinet with two marked indentations to its bottom edge (each ¼ in.). The two cabinets fitted with doors, each opening to two adjustable shelves. With five shelves pegs lacking. One shelf with a loss of veneer to its back edge (approx. 2 ½ in.). One cabinet with a small veneer loss and indentation to its proper right hand side back corner. The open cabinet fitted with three shelves. One shelf ¾ in. shorter in depth and with a subsequent block extension to its back measuring 1 in. in depth. The same shelf with 15 circular openings each measuring 1 in in diameter, likely inherent to the design, and with a very small drilled hole to its front left hand side corner. With four shelves pegs lacking. With a veneer loss and indentation to its proper right hand side back corner. Overall a clever design, that allows for multiple arrangements. Rarely seen at auction, this grouping presents very well overall.
