Condition

Overall very good condition consistent with age. Light tarnishing and fingerprints which can be minimized with a light polish. There are five shallow scratches to the upper surface of shade and well as very minor scattered faint scratches throughout, none of which are visually obtrusive. There is a very shallow dent at the apex of the chandelier dome, likely from the counter weight having had contact with this area over time. The weight system works very well. Please note that the counter weights for this lot and the next lot (367) are currently not fixed at an equal position. However, it will simply require one of the wires to be adjusted within the counterweight. There are 8 lights to the socket cluster. The satin fabric cover to the shade is not original and in good, clean condition, with a few spotty paint drips on the interior side. Please note the shade has delicate, decorative perforations throughout, which are difficult to see in the catalogue illustration. A chandelier of grand size, the sculptural form displays a modernist line that is embellished with small perforations allowing light to filter through. This decorative element is further enhanced by ornamental brass balls present on the wire.
