Both wall lights in very good condition. The brass surfaces present with minor oxidation, pitting and very light surface scratches consistent with use, touching and the natural aging process of the material. The circular back plates have differing diameters and it is likely that the unstamped backplate is a later replacement. The stamped backplate with a soldered rectangular area to its side (approx. 1 in. x ½ in), which is not visually obtrusive. The back plate stamped TAITO measures 4 ½ in diameter and the other backplate measures 5 1/8 in. The arched profile of the wall lights presents with a very very slight variation, which is only detected when examined side by side in profile view, and therefore not visible when installed on a wall.
