Condition

Overall very good condition, consistent with age and gentle use. The top of the table with light fading due sun exposure. There is a sensitively executed professional stabilization to a hairline crack in the wood which is approximately 5 in. from the narrow end of the table and not visually obtrusive. There is a very small chip to the opposite edge, likely due to the drying of wood over time. There are a few scattered hairline cracks surrounding the largest knot. This is very common in tables of this date and a naturally occurring in the wood over time. There is a slight indication of a water ring to the table top and a subsequent slight dulling to the finish, near the largest knot, but not visually obtrusive. The base remains in very good structural condition. The wood with rich figuring and deep nuances throughout. A sculptural piece that presents very well overall.
