the translucent stone of a rich caramel colour with darker inclusions, carved in the round as an archaistic bird depicted with its head turned back, wings folded along its body and with its tail coiled under, with areas of gilt remaining, pierced for attachment
Condition
The amber is in very good condition. There appears to be only a small nick to the edge of the pierced hole that looks old. The amber has some veins and inclusion and one piece of brown organic matter trapped in the sap.
