Description

  • wood
of rectangular section, the slightly domed cover hinged on the back of the chest, the front fitted with a brass lock plate in the form of a bat, the edges and corners of the chest decorated with straight and ruyi-shaped brass mounts, the wood patinated to a dark reddish-brown colour

Condition

There are typical age cracks to the surface of the wood, including several which are tangible on both sides. Other general surface wear and rubbing to the brass mount.
