Condition

- The work is painted on five cradled horizontal panels - Three very fine oblique slits starting from the left edge - Fine horizontal slit, starting from the right edge and ending in the middle of the dress of the young woman on the right side - Few small stains, and traces of dirt scattered on the surface of the painting - Few minor retouches along the left edge behind the shoulder of the elderly woman, and between her hands.visible under UV lamp - Some repaints along the large horizontal slit ; very small repaints scattered on the surface of the painting ; repaints between the man and the woman on the right, visible under the UV lamp - The painting has been recovered by a fluorescent varnish which dissimulates some repaints visible at the eye. Networks of cracks have been hidden by repaints, in particular in the sky and on the wall - Some cracks may thus have been hidden on and around the figures (not visible at eye and under the UV lamp)
