To the naked eye: The painting appears in satisfactory condition. It is under an old dirty varnish. We notice some scratches on the varnish, especially on the right side, on the background. The painting has been correctly relined (first part of the 20th century). Under U.V. light: The painting is under an old green uniform varnish. We notice some retouches below Venus’ hand on the left. We notice a restoration on the upper left corner, as well as some scattered retouches in the sky.
