To the naked eye: The painting appears in a good condition. It has been correctly relined in the second half of the 20th century. It has also been cleaned correctly at the end of the 20th century. We don’t notice any restoration. Under U.V. light: The painting appears under a green uniform varnish. We notice many scattered restorations in the sky, as well as some dots of restoration on the clothes. We can also notice some retouching in the edges of the Clio’s face, as well as some dots of restoration on her face and her arm in the centre. We also notice a restoration in the muse’s hair on the left and some small dots of restoration on her back. We can notice a restoration on the lower zone, all along the edge, on the signature.
