Concerning Madam:
Under the naked eye:
The painting appears under a dirty varnish. The canvas has been enlarged with a 3 cm. long band in the left edge. The painting has been relined correctly. We notice some retouching in the curls, above the earrings.
Under U.V. light:
The painting appears under an old thick green varnish.
We notice some retouching in the hair, already mentioned.
Concerning Sir:
Under the naked eye :
The painting has been enlarged of 7 cm. all along the left edge. It has been relined a bit strongly, which has compressed a little bit the pictorial matter.
Under U.V. light:
The painting appears under a green, thick and uniform varnish. We notice a little, circular restoration (0.5 cm.) on the right of the model’s left eye, in the hair, as well as some little points in the background.

Le professeur Francesco Petrucci, conservateur au Palazzo Chigi, auteur de référence sur Voët a confirmé cette attribution sur la base de photographies.
Marta Ghezzi Baldinotti (Naples 1649 – Rome 1718) était la fille de Felice Angelo Ghezzi, duc de Carpignano et baron Zullino. Le 17 avril 1667, elle épousa le marquis Cesare Baldinotti di Pistoia (1636-1728), duc de Pescorocchiano. Ils eurent une fille, Ginevra, qui épousa le comte Francesco Maria Carpegna.
