Condition
The panel is relatively flat and even.
Ultraviolet light reveals unusual and uneven green fluorescence which is likely related to the artist’s pigments rather than retouching.
There are some small strokes more consistent with retouching notably in the sky to the left and right of the groups of sails and possibly in the central standing figure.
