Description

Folio (11 1/8 x 7 5/8 in.; 283 x 193 mm). Black letter, two columns, woodcuts, woodcut initials, printer's woodcut device (McKerrow 49, 50) at the end; a few leaves stained, some of the woodcuts artlessly heightened with purple wash, leaf A1 washed. Nineteenth-century diced calf gilt, turn-ins gilt, marbled endpapers, yellow edges; skillfully rebacked. Orange levant pull-off case gilt, by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, for J. W. Robinson Co.
