Black letter; title trimmed to imprint and mounted, one leaf with loss to bottom margin, some light rubbing and a few short, closed tears to a few fore-margins only, one lower corner restored, just intruding into catchword. Contemporary blind-stamped paneled calf; short splits to upper joints at ends.

Catalogue Note

A much-enlarged edition of A hundreth good pointes of husbandrie, first published in 1557. Both that work and this are very scarce. This 1574 edition was last sold at auction in 1953. The present is all the more rare to be found in a well-preserved seventeenth-century biding.
