Catalogue Note

First editions of both parts. The 1590 edition contains only Books 1–3; the 1596 Second Part, Books 4–6, was printed uniformly with the second edition, same year, of Part I. Part I has page 332 in an earlier state, with blanks for Welsh words in lines 4–5.  The enlarged dedicatory sonnets of quire Qq were meant to replace the shorter group of Pp6–7, but in this copy, as in most, Pp6–7 was not cancelled.
