8vo (5 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.; 140 x 89 mm). Engraved allegorical frontispiece by William Marshall with facing leaf of verses, numerous woodcut initials throughout; lacking first blank as usual, frontispiece and verses loose, frontispiece slightly and neatly remargined at fore-edge, final four leaves with small filled hole in bottom margin. Nineteenth-century red morocco gilt, front cover with arms of A. W. Griswold, by C. Murton; extremities slightly rubbed, front free endpaper detached.
