Catalogue Note

Revised from the first edition (1486) by Gervase Markham. It was never republished. The first book addresses falconry and provides remedies for the diseases of hawks; the second examines the hunting of deer, boar, and hare and supplies a list of hunting terms; and the third book constitutes a full account of heraldry.
