- height of scent bottle 2.7cm, 1 1/8 in.; height of egg 6.6cm, 2 5/8 in.
the scent bottle of egg form, the surface enamelled in translucent red over banded wavy engine-turning, set with a rose-cut diamond and cabochon sapphire-set flowerhead, its stem forming a question mark when upright, the lid inset with a 1-poltina gold coin of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna dated 1756, part-enamelled in red and blue, within gadroons, gold-mounted cork stopper, struck with workmaster's initials, 56 standard; the egg-form box likewise enamelled in red over waves, one side applied with gilt ecclesiastical crowned cypher A, the reverse with Kh V for 'Christ is Risen', silver mounts, green chrysoprase thumbpiece, the lid with silk lining, in original wood case

The scent bottle in excellent condition. The Stroganov box with restorations to the enamel.
