Condition

140cm across the top, 142cm across the bottom, 196cm from the left, 201cm from the right. Soft wool with very flexible handle. Dense 3mm pile with some wear down to knotbars. Top sections and borders have good pile and the central field predominantly lower. There are small spot areas down to foundation, eg centre of top section. Both ends with soumac overlocking, warp fringing and overlocked. With original banded polychrome overcast sidecords. A striking rug with charming drawing within field, within well balanced banded border, unusual pale blue ground.
