508cm the left hand side, 502cm the right hand side, 200cm the top, 199cm the bottom. A beautifully balanced piece with flexible handle, lustrous wool and good early colouring. Pile generally even 3 - 5mm overall, with occasional areas of lower pile with knotbars just visible. There are minor repaired fold wear splits, for an example see the middle of the lower end border. There is a well executed rectangular area of re-weaving in the eighth row of boteh down from the top approximately 6 by 10cm. The bottom right corner has been replaced and this section measures 10 by 5cm approx. There are two further replaced sections to the top border, one 'L' shaped measuring 10cm approx. at widest point and 7cm approx at deepest. the other measures 5 by 7cm approx. Sidecords re-overcast, minor losses to both ends now straightened and tidied. There are scattered localised areas of old moth. Overall this is in very good condition particularly considering its early date and with great colour, a great example.
