Condition

Overall measurements: 284cm across the top, 290cm. across the bottom, 389cm along the left side, 400cm along the right side. 404cm vertically through the centre. Slightly bowed lower end. Pile overall generally good, 2-3mm pile, with some minor areas of localised wear showing knot bars (for example within areas of ivory palmettes within central medallion), oxidisation to mid browns. End guards reduced, warp fringes trimmed, both ends overlocked. Sides narrow outermost ivory edging removed on the long edges and sides are reovercast. Some evidence of old moth on reverse in lower borders. Sound and ready to use condition, decorative piece, unusual in its overall tonality and absence of dark blue. Robust weave.
