Condition

Overall measurements: 175cm across the top, 177cm across the bottom, 209cm along left side, 216cm along right side 9in. Pile generally good overall, variable from 2-3mm in the centre to 5-6mm in the borders. With some minor areas of wear where knot bars are visible e.g. left and right hand borders in white level with red panel and upper half of green panel, right hand border similar chequered centre and yellow surround with areas of wear, all consistent with traffic. Dark browns oxidised, small amount of foldwear one third of the way down on the left hand side. Original flatwoven end finish at upper end turned over and stitched down, probably original. Lower end with red plain weave and twisted warp loops. With small losses as visible in the image. Good intense colour including purple and dark forest green.
