Condition

Overall measurements: 202cm across the top, 201cm across the bottom, 498cm along left side, 494cm along right side Thin overall with repairs to majority of the rose pink ground and extensive repairs to the black ground of the border and to the pale green of the field. Personal inspection advised. With beautiful crisp drawing.

Catalogue Note

A gallery carpet of similar proportion, field design and use of madder and dark blue - near black - border sold Sotheby's New York, 3 December 2002, lot 125. The offered carpet differs in the use of, beautifully drawn, scrolling cloudbands within the border.
