152cm across the top, 157cm across the bottom, 213cm from the left, 211cm from the right side, 210cm vertically through the middle. Slightly concave to the upper mid right, this is very minor. With good flexible handle. Generally even 2mm pile overall, with areas down to knotheads, for example to the spandrels and flanking pale salmon framing. There are some small re-weaves in areas, for example in the lower section of the main field visible as darker indigo in colour - visible from the photograph. Sizes approximately 2 by 1cm. and 1.5 by 1.5cm and smaller. There is an attractive, even, abrash across the rug within the main field and the salmon spandrels, as visible within the photograph. There is some minor oxidisation within the border design. There are losses at both ends, now overlocked with trimmed fringes. With original triple sidecords which include intermittent tabs of different colours, as visible from the photograph. There is herringbone banding attached to the reverse of all four edges. There are some minor areas of discolouration to the light salmon surrounds to the pillars, as visible from the photograph. A particularly charming work with a delicately drawn, harmonious, design and lovely border, and very unusual design.
