Condition

Measurements: 106cm across the top, 120cm across the bottom, 164cm along the left side, 160 along the right side. Overall condition fair, pile varies between 1mm and low to knotbars. Dark ivory generally oxidised particularly in central medallion,through upper half of field and in the four cartouche in the corners. Areas of wear throughout including bands of abrashed and oxidised blue across the field and fold lines with some areas of wear to foundation. Loose warp threads on fold line on right hand side approximately halfway up. Wear to edges. Sidecords re-overcast. Fringes trimmed and ends back stitched. Re-enforced with cotton herringbone tape to all four edges. Attractive and elegant drawing.
