Catalogue Note

'Evidence indicates that it could have been in Lu Xinyuan's (1834-1894) collection or, due to the absence of his seals, perhaps he saw it at some point. Its inscription agrees with that he recorded in Rangli guan Guoyan Lu: (I) wrote (painted) this during mid autumn of the wuwu year. Qi Zhijia.'
