Condition
The illustration is quite accurate; good overall condition despite the inevitable dents, scratches and marks consistent with age and handling.
Very fine marquetry in overall good condition, except two tiny pewter garlands missing on the lower part of the front (not distracting).
Gilt-bronze mounts with tiny dots of oxidation and a little wear on the more exposed areas. The silvered bronze figure tarnished and rubbed as visible on the image.
Movement dates from 1760 and has been associated.
Mechanism looks complete but we do not guarantee the working order of the mecanism.
Rare and attractive model.
