Condition

The Smoker (H. 5) - with wide margins, in good condition apart from a few very small brown (ink?) stains at upper left, hinging tape remains at the left sheet edge verso, unframed. The Barn (H. 23) - with narrow margins, in good condition apart from occasional mottled fox marks (mainly visible verso), a very small, inconspicuous area of residual paper fibres (possibly from a previous hinge) at the right of the lower sheet edge, previous hinging adhesive remains at the left and lower edges verso, traces of brown ink at the right of the sheet verso, unframed. The Woman Spinning (H. 31) - with small margins, in good condition apart from a soft diagonal crease in the sheet (mainly visible in the unprinted area at upper left), previous hinging tape remains at the upper edge verso, unframed. The Knife Grinder (H. 36) - with narrow margins, pale paper discoloration overall and darker areas of discoloration at the sheet corners associated with previous hinging, a short repaired tear towards the right of the upper sheet edge (extending 2mm into the subject), unframed. (An uninked printer's crease at the upper left corner of the subject).
