Description

Etching and drypoint, circa 1652, a fairly good impression showing slight wear at places, the first state (of two), New Hollstein's second state (of three), a small area of false biting towards the lower left border, on paper with part of a circular watermark 

Condition

With narrow margins, in good condition apart from a small paper loss at lower left corner extending 2mm into subject (backed by previous hinging verso), a minute vertical tear at lower sheet edge at right (approx. 3mm), a small pale brown stain above the lower figures, a couple of pale fox marks, remains of previous hinging verso, unframed.
