large-format, the 'Walker Evans Estate' blindstamp and edition '3/20' in ink in the margin, signed and annotated by John T. Hill, the photographer's executor, in pencil on the reverse, 1931, printed posthumously circa 1980 by Amos Chan (American Photographs, Part One, pl. 27)

Condition

This print, on semi-glossy, double-weight paper, is generally in excellent condition. There are a few faint smudges in the margins. The margin corners are slightly bumped, with attendant peeling of the emulsion. There are small clamp impressions in each corner of the margins. John T. Hill, Executor of the Estate of Walker Evans, signed and annotated the reverse of the print: 'This print was made circa 1980 from Walker Evans' original negative under the supervision of the Evans Estate. It was made by the master printer, Amos Chan for an edition of prints published by the Evans Estate. This image appears in the 1938 edition of American Photographs.'
