Condition

Grading this matte-surface albumen print on a scale of 1 to 10 -- a 10 being a print with rich dark brown tones and highlights that retain all of their original detail -- this print rates a strong 9. The lower edge of the image appears to be turning slightly warmer in tonality. Upon very close examination, there are a number of small semi-opaque white deposits of indeterminate nature in the left portion of the image. There is a 1/2-inch tear extending into the image along the right edge. The upper left and right corners are gently creased. The reverse of the print is appropriately age-darkened, and there is evidence of foxing along the right edge. The edges are slightly unevenly trimmed.
