Condition

This photograph, on double-weight, slightly warm-toned paper with a surface sheen, is in generally very good to excellent condition. As is sometimes typical of Francesca Woodman's lifetime prints, it has been printed slightly asymmetrically on the sheet. Woodman's deliberate cropping of this image was achieved in the darkroom. The outline of her easel, which held the paper during exposure, is visible. There is a small area of rust-colored staining at the upper right corner, and another tiny deposit in the left margin. The margin edges and corners are gently bumped with occasional minor chipping to the emulsion. The margins are curling slightly. There are several rust-colored deposits on the reverse.
