Condition

This unique object is impressive for the care taken with embellishment and prolific illustration. It is in generally excellent condition. Deposits of retouching and several unobtrusive creases and soft impressions are visible only in raking light. The print is trimmed to the image and the edges are inked. The edges and corners are bumped, with some minor chipping. There is a 1/2-inch tear to the left edge which extends slightly into the image. There are stray paint and ink deposits overall on the reverse. There are abrasions, tape remnants, and tacky remnants on the reverse. 'F-591' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil. The annotations on the image are as follows: 'Loingalani, Lake Rudolph Feb. 1987 for abe Last Word from Paradise P. B.' '"starvo" '72 PB' '"as lovely as a show at sea thy young beauty is to me - Tall, with all the gerenuk's grace A daughter of the Darod race.
