of rectangular serpentine form with a handle on each side centred by lovers in a landscape and lacework on a dark green ground

Condition

This very fine tray is in good condition, displaying attractive colours and craquelure to surface. There are very minor marks and scratches consistent with age and use, some wear and minor losses to edges, and a light yellowing to varnish. It is slightly warped, with the back showing some old marks of woodworm that seem to be no longer active. Of impressive scale and quality.
