decorated in gilt and polychrome on a black ground, the moulded frames ornamented with flowers, one picture depicting a ceremonial procession, another depicting figures in a palace garden with a junk on a lake in the background

Condition

These highly decorative panels are in good condition, displaying an attractive lacquer craquelure. There are minor areas of retouching. Frame with scuffing to corners and minor losses. One with a crack to the entire length of the panel.
