Condition
Watercolour and pencil on wove paper. The artist's sheet has been laid down on the backboard along its edges, whereas the inner part of the composition is slightly raised and undulated. There are some very small dots of staining in the sky in the upper left corner. Apart from light brown mat marks along the extreme edges, colours are quite fresh and somewhat brighter in the original than in the catalogue illustration, notably in the fountain and in the blues of the sky. The picture is in good overall condition.
