Les armes sont celles de la famille Le Sénéchal de Kercado, de Bretagne, pour Jacques, comte de Kercado-Kerguisé. Ce dernier possédait de vastes propriétés à Saint-Domingue. Il fut admis aux honneurs de la Cour en 1789 et épousa Catherine de Saulx-Tavannes, fille du duc de Saulx-Tavannes.
