Condition
In overall good condition. Usual dents and scratches. As said in the catalogue, arms legible on the cover but slightly erased on the body.

- under the other handle, maker very legible
- under the cover, charge and date letter legible, maker partly legible
- on the cover rim, discharge partly legible

Catalogue Note
Les armes sont celles de la famille de Clairambault, originaire de Seboncourt en Picardie. Cette écuelle a très probablement été réalisée pour l'illustre Pierre de Clérambault, généalogiste des ordres du Roi de 1698 à sa mort en 1740. Il était né en 1651 et mourut sans alliance. Il reconstitua en 200 volumes les généalogies de nombreuses familles françaises.
