Condition
Both canvases have been lined, the paint surfaces are relatively clean, and the varnishes are only slightly uneven and discoloured. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals very minor spot retouching in both canvases, mostly around the margins. More concentrated areas of retouching are found in the upper left corner of the former painting, and on the left margin of the latter. The paintings are in overall very good condition, and would benefit from a light clean.
