Condition

Overall the condition of the ivory is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is minor stable hairline splitting to the ivory, consistent with the material, throughout, and in particular at the back. There are a few minor losses, including to the edges of the drapery on the proper left side, and to the edge of the veil above the forehead. There is some yellowing to the ivory in areas, notably the crevices. There are a few areas of scratching to the reverse. There is one larger and one very small hole to the underside.
