In consideration of the age of the sculpture the condition is good and much of it remains intact with carving and details in general in good condition. Christ's feet and proper right hand are lost. The polychromy appears to be largely old although it is possible that it could have been potentially refreshed. There is wear to the polychromy throughout, in particular to the lower section of the cross at the front, to the right arm at the front and to the lower section at the back. There are some areas, in particular at the lower emblema, where the canvas supporting layer underneath the polychromy has been revealed. There is past worming consistent with the material and age. There is minor splitting to the wood consistent with the material, in particular to the right side by Christ's legs. The proper right finial from Christ's crown is lost. The wood has darkened in areas towards the bottom of the crucifix at the proper left arm. There is some flaking to the polychromy in areas in particular to the back. The crucifix is composed of sections and some slightly open joints are visible. There is a metal nail in the bottom section of the crucifix.
