Condition

Overall the condition of the figures is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surfaces consistent with age. There is some wear to the gilding with some minor losses, notably to Autumn's drapery below the proper left arm, and Winter's drapery around the proper right hand. Three of the fingers of Winter's proper right hand, and her urn have been reattached; there is some glue residue and flaking to the gilding on the urn. There is some rubbing to the polychromy of both figures at the high points and some flaking in areas such as the rockwork of Winter. There is some very minor stable splitting to the wood, notably at Winter's proper left foot and proper right lower leg. There is a small hole to the reverse of Winter.
