- North Italian, probably Padua, 16th/ early 17th century
Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are possible old losses to the tips of the proper right claw. There is some minor rubbing to the patina at the high points.
The marble base is in good condition with minor wear, including small chips along the edges and corners. The underside is lined with fabric, which has worn off in areas.
