Condition
The following condition report is provided by Sarah Walden who is an external specialist and not an employee of Sotheby's: The panel is uncradled. The paint surface has some raised vertical lines of craquelure but appears to be stable. The varnish layer is slightly uneven. Inspection under ultra-violet light shows carefully applied very small spots and lines of retouchings mainly in the figures. Overall the painting is in good condition. The work is framed.
