Condition
The following condition report is provided by Hamish Dewar who is an external specialist and not an employee of Sotheby's: The central panel of the triptych is cradled. The paint surfaces have glossy varnish layers. There are extensive retouchings which are visible in natural light. There are small losses in all three panels but the paint surface is stable at present. Inspection under ultra-violet light shows discoloured varnish layers and extensive retouching in the three panels. Overall the paintings are in stable condition.
