Condition
The canvas has been relined, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. The impasto paintwork in the clouds is well-preserved. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a small restoration in the cliffs just to the left of the waterfall, upper centre, measuring approx. 1 by 2 cm. There is no other discernible restoration beneath a rather milky varnish. In overall very good condition.
