Provenance

Given to the present owner in the early 1990s.

Condition

The panel is constructed from a single, uncradled plank, which is flat and stable. The paint surface is slightly dirty and the varnish is discoloured but even. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals strengthening to the darker areas of the clouds behind the boats and upper left, as well as to areas of the sky, upper left and right. The details in the boats themselves remain largely untouched. In overall good condition.
