With Bernheimer, Munich, from whom acquired by the present owner.
Condition
The copper plate is flat and stable, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is relatively clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals scattered, sensitive retouching in the sky on the right and around the buildings on the left, as well as some minor retouching in the lower section of the tower. The foreground remains largely untouched, and the painting is in overall very good condition.
