Catalogue Note
The ‘Zierschrank der Schlesischen Frauen’ was a gift of 117.000 Silesian women and was personally presented in Friedrichsruh by 100 of these women to Bismarck on 13th May 1895. The now lost silver mounted upper part incorporated a painting by Prof. Irmann and the Bismarck coat-of-arms and motto ‘In trinitate robur’.
