- the largest 16cm. high, 48cm. wide, 30,5cm. deep; 6¼in., 1ft. 7in., 1ft.
comprising a carved oak presentation box with inscribed plaque, dated 1895; a painted black box in Chinese style; a metal mounted hinged case with a removable enamel dish; a presentation box, the lid with a drawing of a bouquet of currants and flowers; an ebonised money box with its mounts lacking; a metal mounted cut-felt casket retailed by Edward Bauer, Chemnitz; a presentation box incorporating a section of cypress tree, mounted with Bismarck coat-of-arms and a plaque, dated 1895; an ebonised casket with an engraved copper plaque by C. Rohling dated 1880, the interior with a padded silk with dedication; an ebony felt lined box with bone plaque
Condition
In reasonable condition. One box with signs of formerly having metal mounts which are no longer present. The casket containing the enamel dish has a warped top and does not sit flush. With old marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use.
